A Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) is an electric vehicle specifically designed for use as a 2nd vehicle for trips around town (so you can save gasoline – and help us get off foreign oil!)

Types of NEV’s

• 4 wheel vehicles that are limited (by fed law) to travel 25 mph on streets posted 35mph or less.
• 3 wheel vehicles that can travel faster because they’re registered as motorcycles.
• 2 wheel vehicles – scooters and electric bicycles that usually don’t need to be registered at all.
